This collection of photos was put together for my Photography III course at St. Charles Community College. At the time I was, and still am, mesmorized by the work of Alfred Cheney Johnston. I had some long drawn out artist statement for the work. But now I know better than to present fluff about the project. I was really just trying to make my work look like his; a difficult task, but I was pleased with my results.

These images were made with black and white 35mm--I believe I was using Ilford FP4 for most of it--and darkroom printed to 11x14. The prints exist in a book in my office. What you see here are processed and toned digital scans of the negatives.
